2.Background and objectives
In approaching to realize a "vibrant 100-year age," the further extension of healthy life expectancy is the key issue. Section of Research Collaboration and Partnership promotes research collaborations with private companies, local governments, and academic institutions to efficiently and effectively produce research achievements that solve problems, and to give back the achievements to society.
3.Overview of our research
I. Establish a food environment model in which all people, regardless of their level of health consciousness, naturally and effortlessly lead healthier lives.We serve as a hub to conduct research on the development of a sustainable and naturally healthy food environment and physical activity environment that leaves no one behind, in cooperation with relevant national organizational bodies, food manufacturing, related distribution industries, research institutions, academic groups, and many other stakeholders.
II. Fundamental research on health, nutrition and food intake
We conduct fundamental research on health, nutrition, and food intake necessary for extending healthy life expectancy, utilizing our advanced expertise in health, diet, and physical activity to improve and resolve health and nutrition issues in Japan.
III. Research for the development and revision of official guideline
We conduct research on the relationship regarding nutrition and diet and health for the development and revision of official guidelines.
